The coordinator will make contact through email with details of parent meetings, after-school catechist classes etc, before the program commences.

Our sacramental programs are conducted in the following school terms.

First Reconciliation         (Year 3 children & older)       1st Term

Confirmation                      (Year 6 children & older)       3rd Term

**First Holy Communion     (Year 3 children & older)       TBA

(**Please note: it is compulsory that your child receives First Penance/Reconciliation prior to receiving First Holy Communion).

Normally, notification of the Sacramental Programs begins prior to Christmas, through the Holy Family Parish’s Bulletin and Website, and via St Aidan’s Newsletters and notifications, Christmas flyers, with notification of the Sacramental Program are also distributed in Term 4 to the Parish School and Maroubra Junction Public School.

Early registrations are very helpful to the planning and administration of the program.

As your child grows closer to God in their preparation, it is hoped that in presenting your child and supporting them, your knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith and your closeness to God will also grow.

Our program seeks to assist you in the preparation of your child for the Sacraments. To enable both faith and understanding to grow, it is presumed that your child’s knowledge of the sacraments will be built upon by further instruction and example at home and at school, and regular attendance at Mass. Your understanding of the Mass as central to the Catholic faith and therefore the Sacraments is important.
